What you will be able to do¶
The CDI-BoK turns interdisciplinary knowledge into practical capability. Every path ends with an artifact or criterion you can apply to a decision.
Frame
Define the decision, owner, alternatives, criteria, constraints and cost of waiting or being wrong.
Evaluate
Separate facts, calculations, inferences and hypotheses; expose quality, context and uncertainty.
Design
Select the interface and information sequence that best support understanding, deciding and acting.
Govern
Assign decision rights, permissions, boundaries, escalation and human control over AI.
Learn
Compare expectation with outcome, separate decision quality from luck and improve the next cycle.
Start with your problem, not the index¶
“I have data, but no clear decision”
Turn a broad topic into an explicit choice and complete the PDAMR compass.
Get a decision frame → EVIDENCE“I have a decision, but do not trust the information”
Evaluate fitness for purpose, provenance, context, uncertainty and counterevidence.
Get an evidence contract → EXPERIENCE“I have insights, but they do not change action”
Design from attention and understanding through decision, action and feedback.
Get an experience blueprint → CONTROL“I want AI without losing accountability”
Define what every actor may see, propose, decide, execute, stop and audit.
Get a control matrix → LEARNING“I want to know whether the decision worked”
Separate quality, execution, time, outcome, guardrails and learning without inventing a universal score.
Get a measurement system → TEMPLATE“I want to apply this to one decision”
Integrate the complete path on one page you can review, challenge and sign before acting.
Create a Decision Brief →An architecture for decisions, not another technology ladder¶
Technology can support the entire chain but cannot replace purpose, judgment, authority or accountability. PULSE provides the framework of practice; CDI studies and designs conversational collaboration; the CDI-BoK organizes knowledge, sources and limits.
Depth with traceability¶
Definitions and boundaries
Constitution, CDI scope, glossary and map of eight areas and 29 domains.
EVIDENCEResearch and open questions
What is established, what is PULSE synthesis, what remains debated and what must be tested.
TRUSTVerifiable governance
Owner, authority, version, sources, claims, ADRs and explicit limits for every asset.
Calibrated ambition
CDI is a proposed interdisciplinary domain of practice, and PULSE is the project's methodology and operating philosophy. The portal seeks useful, testable knowledge; it does not claim academic recognition, priority over the term or generalizable effectiveness.
Practice shows the method; it does not invent outcomes¶
The Practice Lab contains demonstrations and instrumentation. The current B2B case uses simulated data and remains instrumented, not executed. It shows how a decision is framed, a weak claim is blocked and a protocol is prepared; it does not demonstrate organizational impact.
